Today at Hall Neighborhood House
Hall Neighborhood House offers programs for our neighbors of all ages. From childcare and preschool for infants and children to after school programs and summer camp for youth to daily activities for seniors, Hall Neighborhood House has something for everyone.
And with our new community health center, community programs run in partnership with other organizations, and family services to support parents, we are constantly improving and expanding the programs and services we offer our community.
Hall Neighborhood House is a safe place for everyone, and our programs are held to the highest standards and accreditation. Together we can make life better.
History
1977
Rape Crisis Group is formed
1979
The Rape Crisis Center (RCC) is Incorporated
Early 1900s
Hall House expanded into two residences in downtown Bridgeport and began offering nursery and childcare services.
1957
Hall House moved to its current location on the East Side of Bridgeport near the former Father Panik Village public housing complex.
1986
The city of Bridgeport began tearing down Father Panik Village after it devolved into a hub for crime and drugs. Hall Neighborhood House remained in the area, serving the community’s ongoing needs.
1994
The city completed the demolition of Father Panik Village.

Robert Dzurenda becomes Executive Director

Hall Neighborhood House continues to serve the comprehensive needs of the East Side of Bridgeport and the surrounding area. We are opening a community health center, continue to develop engaging opportunities for children and youth, and have received best-in-class accreditation for our programs.
