Masters in Social Work (MSW) Internship Opportunities
The Rowan Center has served as a field learning (internship placement) site for first- and second-year Masters in Social Work (MSW) students since the Fall of 2020. MSW interns receive weekly individual and group supervision from an LCSW and are invited to attend weekly agency and department staff meetings.
Crisis Counseling program interns are trained to provide short-term crisis counseling services to a caseload of 3-to-5 clients weekly. Interns placed in our long-term Therapy Clinic program (2nd-year students only) are trained in diagnosis, clinical treatment planning, and clinical note-taking and provide clinical-level individual therapy services to a small caseload of clients.
All accepted candidates must be able to meet with clients in person in our offices and are required to complete the State 40-hour sexual violence crisis counselor and advocate training, which we will provide.
