Support and Empowerment Groups

English Support Group

Every Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Virtual) 

This group is open at no cost to primary survivors ages 18+. It offers a safe place to share personal experiences, feelings, and coping strategies. It is well suited for easing trauma survivors’ emotional stress, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression, helplessness, and hopelessness. This is an open group. New members can join at any time. 

An intake and screening with the group facilitator are required before participation.

Grupo de Apoyo en Español 

Cada dos semanas el martes 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. (En persona)

Este grupo es gratis y confidencial. El grupo está abierto a sobrevivientes primarios y secundarios de violencia sexual mayores de 18 años, y se facilita en español y en persona. Ofrece un lugar seguro para compartir experiencias personales, sentimientos y estrategias de afrontamiento. Es adecuado para aliviar el estrés emocional de los sobrevivientes de traumas, incluidos los sentimientos de aislamiento, soledad, depresión, y desesperanza. Este es un grupo abierto. Los nuevos miembros pueden unirse en cualquier momento. 

Solo se requiere una admisión y evaluación con el facilitador del grupo antes de participar.

Men’s Support Group

Every Tuesday from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. (Virtual)

This group is open at no cost to all primary and secondary survivors ages 18+ who identify as male or non-binary. The group offers a safe place to share personal experiences, feelings, and coping strategies. It is well suited for easing trauma survivors’ emotional stress, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression, helplessness, and hopelessness, with a focus on creating a sense that victims are not alone. This group also has a special focus on the specific circumstances of those who identify as adult males. This is an open group. New members can join at any time. 

An intake and screening with the group facilitator are required before participation.

Women 40+ Support Group

Bi-weekly on Thursdays from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Virtual)

This group is open at no cost to primary self-identifying female or non-binary survivors ages 40+. It offers a safe space to share stories and feelings and learn tools that have helped others in their healing journey. There is no expectation to disclose your incident(s). This group is well suited for easing trauma survivors’ emotional stress, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, depression, helplessness, and hopelessness. This is an open group. New members can join at any time. 

An intake and screening with the group facilitator are required before participation.

Queer Survivor Support Group

The next group cycle begins in April 2024. (In Person)

This group is open at no cost to primary LGBTQ+ survivors of sexual abuse, ages 18+, no matter when the abuse occurred. It offers an affirming and supportive space for primary victims and survivors to process their experiences, explore feelings, develop coping skills, build resiliency, and/or learn tools that have helped others in their healing journey. This group is well suited for easing emotional stress, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, helplessness, and hopelessness, with a special focus on the specific circumstances of those who identify as LGBTQ+, while also creating a sense that victims are not alone. 

This is a closed group. New members must start at the beginning of a group cycle. However, intake/screening can happen anytime.
